THISDAY Newspaper’s Alumni Association has congratulated Mr. Collins Edomaruse, one of its members, on his recent appointment as Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State on International Development Partners.
In a letter signed by the alumni’s President, Tony Onyima, Ph.D., FNGE, and Secretary, Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, dated 9th January, the group described Edomaruse’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his distinguished career and unwavering commitment to excellence in journalism and public service.
Edomaruse, a seasoned journalist, is a former editor of THISDAY newspaper and a member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (MNGE). He is also a founding member of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), a testament to his versatility and contributions to the media industry.
The alumni body expressed confidence in Edomaruse’s ability to leverage his extensive experience and strategic acumen to advance impactful partnerships for Edo State.
“We are confident that your wealth of experience and strategic insights will contribute immensely to fostering impactful partnerships for Edo State. This is a well-deserved recognition of your brilliance, versatility, competence, and dedication,” the statement read.
THISDAY alumni wished Edomaruse success in his new role and pledged its continued support.
“Keep making us proud, ‘General’!”, the alumni body added, in a nod to Edomaruse’s nickname within the THISDAY Alumni community.
Edomaruse’s appointment is seen as a strategic move by Governor Okpebholo to strengthen Edo State’s collaboration with international development partners.
