In a heartfelt Christmas message, the President of the 8th Nigeria Senate Dr. Bukola Saraki has called on Nigerians to extend compassion and support to those facing challenges during the festive season. Saraki in a post made on his Facebook page emphasized the importance of using the end-of-year celebrations as an opportunity for reflection and community support.

“The end of the year is always a time of joy, of coming together with loved ones, of reflecting on the year gone by,” Saraki noted.

However, he urged Nigerians to go beyond celebration, adding, “But this year, I ask you to think about something more. Many of our fellow Nigerians are struggling right now—facing hardship, uncertainty, and loss.”

The former Senate President encouraged citizens to embody the spirit of giving and neighborly care. “As we celebrate this season, let’s also remember those who need our help. Let’s be the hands that lift up those who are falling behind, and the neighbours that share what we have, big or small,” he said.

Saraki also paid tribute to Nigeria’s armed forces and other security personnel for their sacrifices in protecting the nation. “Let us take a moment to remember the men and women who are serving our nation —our troops, and all those who sacrifice so much to keep us safe. May God bless, protect, and give them strength,” he remarked.

Concluding his message, Saraki extended warm wishes to all Nigerians, saying, “From my family to yours, I wish you a Merry Christmas.”
