Lagos Blue Line rail track gutted by fire

Part of the Lagos state electric mass transit rail system, The Blue Line, was on Saturday gutted by fire.

The fire outbreak occurred at a spot opposite NEPA Station, near Eko Bridge in the Apogbon area of Lagos State.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, confirmed the development in a statement on his X handle on Saturday.

Akosile said there were no casualties in the incident at about 4:12pm on Saturday.

The spokesman of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said: “There was a fire outbreak on a small section of the Lagos Blue Line track at a spot opposite NEPA Station by Eko Bridge inward Apogbon.
